Being the meekest Winchester witch is … tough.

When Thistle and Bay – and their respective boyfriends – show up for the weekend festivities, and the opening activities are interrupted by an avenging ghost, the new inn is in a precarious position.
That’s on top of Aunt Tillie’s efforts to undermine the soft launch – and she’s feeling particularly vindictive.
Can Clove and her cousins save the Dragonfly Inn? Or is Clove in for a mountain of misery?
Note This is a short novella set in the Wicked Witches of the Midwest world. It follows Something to Witch about and precedes Wicked Brew and Witch Me Luck. It is approximately 25,000 words, and will not take the place of regular installments in the series. It’s just a short snapshot so you can get to know some of the other characters in Hemlock Cove. I was looking for a series that I would love and not get sick of after the first couple of books. Then I found wicked witches of the Midwest, I have every book there is and I’m waiting for more. This one series I can read over and over and over again. A must read series. I have fallen in love with the Winchester women and their male counterparts. Aunt Tillie is a hoot and the girls have just the right amount of sarcasm. I can't put the books down.Product details

Clove's story about the Dragonfly is heart warming. She attends the opening of the inn that her father and uncles own along with Sam, Bay, Landon, Thistle, and Marcus. Aunt Tillie also joins the festivities. Together they help a a ghost move on to a place of peace. I highly recommend reading this short. Thank you, Amanda Lee.
I loved Clove. She seems down to earth and very friendly. Thistle and Bay, her cousins, seem rude and condensing to Clove, but underneath it all they love her.
Their fathers, who all left because they could not handle the magic, are back and running an inn in direct competition with their mothers. Bound to be trouble. You bet and their Aunt Millie is in the thick of it. Aunt Millie is a character that when the girls talk about her makes her seem unapproachable but in truth she has their backs and she loves to cause trouble.
This is a must read.
Another hit for Amanda Lee. This is one of my very favorite series. I am a fan of snark and paranormal humor however. What I wish is this if you are not a fan of this type of book, please skip it. The author warns both pre-order and at the beginning of the book that it isn't everyone's cup of tea. But consistently, I see that someone has read it and then slammed it. You are not reviewing the book, you are slamming the genre. If you dislike the genre, don't read it. You are dragging down an author because you don't like the style, not because it's a bad book. I love these books and they are the best of their kind.
I LOVE EACH ONE OF ALL OF THEM!! I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK OF AMANDA LEE!!!! I REALLY REALLY LOVE THE WHOLE SERIES OF THE WICKED WITCHES OF THE MIDWEST!!!! STARTING WITH MY FAVORITE AUNT TILLY!!!! OH MY GOSH I LAUGHT SOO FRIKING OUTLOUD WITH THIS WICKED WOMAN I ALWAYS TEARS UP WITH HER!!!! The only thing sometimes I would like to read is a steaming episode of good sex when Bay and Landon are together same as Clove and Sam...and of course Thistle with Marcus. Also I cant wait if Chief Terry will stay with one of the moms of the witches......and what about the parents of the 3 girls....do they will have a happy ending????? And Aunt Tilly with Mr. "Contractor"?? PLEASE DO SOMETHING Miss Lee!!!! Cant wait for your next story!!!!
Ah, Really You just have to relax and enjoy these Bitch'n Girls! They are "Always On!", and have money, lovely Resort Setting, "powers" and create trouble where there is none.
And, Feed Well, promise sex, and give hard times!
Lovely geo setting, including hints of just how Nasty and Cold and Slick and Fall Down/Get Stuck "FROZEN NORTHLAND CAN BE!
An occasional "Left Behind Ghost", a nagging Great Aunt, a "Cloaked Pot Field/Magic Wine",
Most Dreaming Women will last one or two episodes.
Some Bitter Old Men will enjoy the Series and believe that "Snarky Girls" are more dangerous to Their Own Kind than to us old throw-away bill payers.

Story line was interesting, characters were somewhat individualized, and resolution was fine. However, FAR TOO MUCH of the novella revolved around arguing. Arguments become tiresome when reader wants plot to progress. After awhile, reader almost ceases to care about any of it. The best section involved Clove and her dad as they washed dishes and discussed Gracie. Very well done.
This started as a free book on Book Bub and the next thing I knew I'd read all 12 in the Wicked Witches of the Midwest series (when is the next one?) And have now started on the shorts! The characters are great (I want to be Aunt Tillie when I grow down) and have enjoyed the plotlines. It's going to be a sad day when I have to wait for the next book and can't just download the next one!
